Kampala, Uganda, July 30, 2026 - Ugandan AI software firm Tyms was named an OpenAI Select Partner, a designation expected to help emerging-market businesses deploy AI tools for finance, sales, marketing, customer service, procurement and compliance.
The company said the partnership would support organisations building and scaling automation in Africa and other emerging markets.
This detail was included in the mid-to-late July UGANDA briefing.
The move adds to Kampala’s growing pitch as a regional technology delivery hub.
