KIGALI, Rwanda, July 28, 2026 - Rwanda granted citizenship to 105 people born in 27 countries, with the largest groups born in Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to the official gazette.
The group included 26 people born in Burundi, 20 in the DRC, nine in Uganda and eight in the United States, as well as applicants born in Belgium, Cameroon, Kenya and Rwanda to foreign parents.
About 60% were aged 30 to 49; the youngest was five and the oldest 81.
This detail was included in the mid-to-late July RWANDA briefing.
The citizenship decisions took effect on July 24.
