KIGALI, Rwanda, July 26, 2026 - More than 360,000 households appealed the income-based categories assigned for new community-based health insurance contributions, after errors emerged in the social protection system used to set payments.
The Local Government Ministry said about 340,000 appeals had been answered.
This detail was included in the mid-to-late July RWANDA briefing.
RSSB said payment collection stood at 51% of those required to pay, compared with 63% at the same time last year, as households adjusted to contribution increases including a rise from Rwf3,000 to Rwf8,000 for some members.
