Rwanda and Poland Agree on Employment Access for Diplomats’ Families

WARSAW, Poland, July 24, 2026 - Rwanda and Poland signed an agreement allowing eligible family members of diplomats and embassy staff to take up gainful employment in the host country.

Polish State Secretary Wojciech Zajączkowski and Rwanda’s outgoing ambassador to Poland, Prof.

Anastase Shyaka, signed the accord.

Zajączkowski said Rwanda was the first African country with which Poland had concluded such an arrangement.

The countries, whose relations span more than 61 years, have expanded permanent diplomatic representation and cooperation in development and the economy.
