Kwania Husband Gets 24 Years for Burning Wife Alive
Kwania, Uganda, July 31, 2026 - The High Court sitting in Apac sentenced Innocent Olima, 42, to 24 years after convicting him of murdering his wife, Lillian Alum, by setting fire to their grass-thatched house in Okomo Village on November 24, 2021.

Justice George Okello rejected the claim that Olima’s scorched hands showed a rescue attempt, ruling the blaze was deliberate.
