High Court Orders Production of Erias Lukwago for Treason-Related Trial

KAMPALA, July 16, 2026 - The High Court in Kampala has ordered authorities at Luzira Upper Prison to produce former Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago in court next week as he faces charges of misprision of treason.

A production warrant issued by the High Court Criminal Division on July 16 directs Luzira Upper Prison authorities to present Lukwago before Justice David Matovu on July 24, 2026, at 10:00am.
