DR Congo Ebola Caseload Passes 3,200
KINSHASA, DR Congo, July 25, 2026 - The Democratic Republic of Congo recorded 3,200 Ebola cases and 1,405 deaths, with 773 people isolated or hospitalized and 571 recovered, health authorities said.

The outbreak, declared in Ituri on May 15, involves the Bundibugyo strain and has spread to Ituri, Haut-Uélé, North Kivu, South Kivu and Tshopo.
The mortality rate was 43.9%, while 77.8% of contacts were being followed.
This detail was included in the mid-to-late July RWANDA briefing.
WHO said Ituri accounted for nearly 90% of cases as of July 15.
