Bamako, April 14, 2026 - The promotion of cultural heritage and national reconciliation was highlighted on Tuesday as the Minister of Crafts, Culture, Hospitality and Tourism, Mamou Daffé, received a delegation from the organizing committee of the Bambouck Festival in Sadiola. Led by promoter Moro Macalou, the delegation presented preparations for the festival’s sixth edition, scheduled to take place from May 14 to 24, 2026, in Sadiola, located in Mali’s Kayes region. Organized by the Paridiola Association, a socio-cultural organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural, artistic, and historical heritage of Bambouck, the festival has established itself as a key platform for cultural expression in the region. The initiative aims not only to showcase local traditions and artistic creativity but also to strengthen peace, social cohesion, and national reconciliation through a series of cultural, educational, and community-based activities. Minister Daffé welcomed the presentation and commended the organizers for their commitment to promoting Mali’s cultural diversity. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in reinforcing unity and fostering dialogue among communities through culture. The upcoming edition is expected to bring together artists, cultural actors, and local communities in a celebration of shared heritage and collective identity.
