Researcher Says Congo “Lost Time” Grasping ADF’s Jihadist Mutation

Kinshasa/Beni, July 31, 2026 - Researcher Claude Sengenya argued authorities and partners long misunderstood the ADF, which mutated after 2017 from a Uganda-focused politico-military refuge force into a jihadist threat documented by UN and independent reporting.
