Kwango Maintains 297 Kilometres of Rural Roads to Link Farms and Markets

Kwango, July 31, 2026 - Provincial authorities said 297 kilometres of rural roads had been maintained to bring agricultural basins closer to markets under the presidency’s rural infrastructure policy.

Better farm-to-market access is meant to cut post-harvest losses and transport costs for producers.

This detail was included in the mid-to-late July DRC briefing.

Sustainability will depend on continued maintenance budgets after the initial works push.
