Upon his arrival at Kigali International Airport on 25 July 2026, Gen Muhoozi was received by the Chief of Staff of the Rwandan Armed Forces, Gen Mubarakh Muganga.
Other officials who received Gen Muhoozi included the Commander of the Rwandan Armed Forces' Security Corps, Gen Maj Willy Rwagasana, and the Military Adviser at the Ugandan Embassy, Col Ezekiel Matsiko.
During the two-day visit, Gen Muhoozi is expected to discuss with senior Rwandan military leaders on strengthening military ties between the two countries, and will also hold talks with President Paul Kagame.
Gen Muhoozi was last in Rwanda in March 2025.
