FAWE Targets Barriers Keeping Girls Out of School in Busoga
Buyende, Uganda, July 31, 2026 - The Forum for African Women Educationalists Uganda launched education-barrier projects with Buyende and Kaliro districts, citing teenage pregnancy, child labour and community pressures in sugarcane and fishing areas.
Buyende, Uganda, July 31, 2026 - The Forum for African Women Educationalists Uganda launched education-barrier projects with Buyende and Kaliro districts, citing teenage pregnancy, child labour and community pressures in sugarcane and fishing areas.
Programme managers said the ABEE and Echidna Giving initiatives aim to keep girls enrolled through completion and position them for scholarships.
District and cultural leaders were asked to own follow-up so enrolment gains do not reverse.
